Before your makeup appointment, there are a number of things that you can do to prepare. The following steps will ensure that your appointment runs efficiently and your makeup lasts all day and night!

  • It is recommended that for the few days before your appointment you eat healthily and drink plenty of water (at least 2L per day) to ensure that your skin is as healthy and glowy as possible. The first step to beautiful, long-lasting makeup is to have a flawless base, so it's very important to care for your skin properly!

  • The night before your appointment it is recommended that you gently exfoliate your face in order to remove all dead skin cells so that your skin is fresh and clean. It is also important to moisturise after exfoliating to nourish and add moisture back into your skin, which will prevent it from drying.

  • Approx. 1 hour before your appointment it is important to gently cleanse your skin, ensuring that all traces of makeup have been removed. It is also preferred that clients arrive to their appointments with their hair tied up off of their face so that it doesn't get in the way. If your hair has already been styled and you cannot tie it back, pin it back gently with a couple of bobby pins or I can provide a headband.

  • So that I can spend more time painting your beautiful face, it is preferred that you come with a screenshot of the makeup you want (preferably from my instagram) so that we can jump straight into the appointment and not waste valuable time deciding what makeup to do!

  • It is very important that you do not have any sort of facial waxing during the week of your appointment. This is because waxing affects the consistency of the makeup on your skin and it can end up looking very patchy in the areas that have been waxed. Facial waxing should not be done at least 7 days before your appointment. *threading and plucking is absolutely fine*

  • Remember to bring cash or card with you to your appointment to pay for the remaining amount of your service (minus the deposit amount)

  • It is very important that you are punctual and arrive to your appointment on time! ALWAYS aim to arrive 5-10 minutes early to allow for congested traffic conditions.

  • Remember that if you are 10+ minutes late to your appointment, your appointment is automatically cancelled. This is because I require a full 45 minutes per client, and it would be unfair to my clients booked in after you to wait around for their appointment. It is your responsibility to be on time to your appointment, and deposit refunds will not be given if you are late.
